The Ingenico iCT220 series utilizes a dial-up modem to connect by default, but you can choose optional faster connection methods, including Ethernet or 3G. An optional number pad privacy shield is available for build who would like to shield the keypad from view of anyone but the user when the keypad is being used. The terminal offers multiple connection choices, includes a built-in printer for easy receipt printing, and provides a high-contrast, easy-to-read display screen. The Ingenico iCT220 series boasts a variety of features designed to make accepting payments quick and secure. This review refers to models available for and used in the United States. The Ingenico iCT220 is sold in the United States and Canada, but the iCT220 CL (contactless version) is not currently certified for Canadian use. The terminal also integrates with the iPP220 PIN pad for secure PIN-based debit transactions, including chip and PIN debit payments. If you don’t have the CL model, you won’t be able to accept Apple Pay or other mobile wallets. Comparable to the Verifone Vx520 line of credit card machines, the Ingenico iCT220 and iCT220 CL allow your business to process almost all types of cards, including traditional magnetic stripe, EMV chip cards, and NFC/contactless transactions such as Apple Pay. Note that contactless payments are availlable when using the iCT220 CL terminal.
